The City of Rockport’s use of Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) proceeds is governed by both City ordinance and the Texas Local Government Code. These funds must be used by the City Council for purposes authorized by the State and directed toward encouraging the growth of tourism, hotels, and convention activity within the City.
2025/2026 Hotel Occupancy Tax Funding application deadline was July 18, 2025.
